Join Live4yoga on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6-7 pm for free yoga practice with specially curated music by Somnus Lak. Grab your first beer before, during or after your yoga practice for the discounted price of $6.50. Hang around for a second one afterwards and enjoy the sunset and the harbour views for a perfectly balanced Thursday evening. (Event will be held indoors if it rains).

Come and hear about the Being More Human book journey of conception to publication. Learn about the Mindset Model and see how you can apply the Mindset Model in your world.

Paying homage to her unique global exposure, encompassing humanitarian aid work in war-torn Kosovo and Africa in the late 90s to early 2000s, the book captures Michelle's extensive work in the corporate HR and OD landscape, which saw her found her own social enterprise in 2015.

Michelle’s book, ‘Being More Human’, offers readers a transcendent, self-paced, learning experience.

Through the sharing of personal and professional life experiences, Michelle crafts reflective learning opportunities that are underpinned by her own five-stage Mindset Model.

The book will be available to purchase on the night. For those who have pre-ordered your copy, you can pick it up on the night!

Lani released her debut EP Fallen From Grace in February 2018 and has since toured the East Coast with shows in Canberra (Smiths Alternative), Newcastle (The Underground), Sydney (LazyBones) and Melbourne (Paris Cat Jazz Club). Fallen From Grace has since featured on ArtSound FM (ACT), QBN FM (NSW) and Joy FM (VIC), with a spread in the Newcastle Herald and as Editor’s Choice in BMA magazine.

Taking place within the beautifully restored Newcastle Station event space, TooniSparx will be running two themed school holiday workshops that will have kids engaging in everything awesome that STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) can be! 

Not only will our young sparky engineers be planning and constructing robots and automated vehicles - they’ll be animating them too! invites kids aged 8-12 years to bring life to real circuitry robotics through both beginner engineering and animation practices.

Sea breezes and cold beers with cool vibes couldn't make for a better Sunday evening.

Riding The Blinds is a proposed series of monthly music events for young and emerging Novocastrian artists working with musical forms outside of the traditional guitar, bass and drums arrangement.

Curated by Newcastle musician, Cooper Bowman, each event will feature a local electronic artist and pair them with a complimentary project from Sydney.

Joining us for the first event on 20 January are Sydney based band LA Suffocated and local band Impatiens. Come and support this fantastic electronic music gig in an iconic location this Sunday from 5pm.

Due to popular demand, Toonworld will again be offering its famous Cartooning and Animation workshops they deliver to school children World Wide.

CARTOONING - Morning Session 10am - 12pm

Toonworld invites your kids to come on a journey filled with creativity and challenges where you will meet fun characters and we will design our own wonderful heroes while defending the lands against the Evil Rubbix and his rampaging stickmen army! There’s No Erasers ! Because There’s no mistakes, Erasers are the Enemy ! – we give the kids the power to believe their pencils are the “Sword of Destiny” and can defeat the enemy.

STOP MOTION ANIMATION - Afternoon Session 12:30 -2pm

Toonworld invites you to the wonderful world of Stop MotionAnimation. In this Simple and Exciting workshop we learn the simple hints and tips on how to Animate effectively & each child will get to construct their own cool clay characters that they can take home and make their own movies!

Silent Disco New Years Eve

An all ages soul funk, bop and party favourites outdoor silent disco kicks off at 6pm – 8.30pm with Deejay Phatt for New Years Eve at The Station Newcastle. The fall of darkness at 8.30pm, brings on the fireworks and a three-channel party gets underway. Immerse in the city’s fireworks from the dance floor and choose how you want to party whether it be 80’s & 90’s singalongs, soul funk or house party throwbacks. 

 The Station will be open to the public to enjoy the foreshore party from the fringes with local brews from The Station Bar or if you’re hungry something from Lings Home Kitchen on the platform or the food truck park just outside our gate on Wharf road.

Its free to enjoy The Station’s open spaces, dining and bar area. Join the disco for just $10 a headset. If it’s wet, we can silently disco indoors.

This is a beach cleanup like no other! 
The truth is YOU DON'T NEED TO HAVE SUPER POWERS TO SAVE THE PLANET! 

elasmo's mission is to achieve unity, respect, and protection for all living things on earth, through education and empowerment. 

We are Avengerfying our monthly beach clean! elasmo, CHOOSE YOUR ANIMAL, Renew Newcastle, CoastXP, Shark Conservation Australia, Earth Guardians Newcastle, Aroma Dudes, Hunter Heroes and SingularityU Newcastle are coming together to protect the ocean.

Join us on Saturday 29th of December and together we will kick marine pollution's butt. Come along dressed as your favourite hero (or villain, no judgment here). 

There will be a prize for best dressed, giveaways, and the opportunity to grab that ultimate superhero selfie with one of our many superheroes (including Spiderman)!

After the clean up we are all invited back to The Station Newcastle to catch up, cool off and grab a coffee. We will also be running some super fun activities for kids and families!

Combining flow arts with dancing, hooping is a beautiful and accessible form of community connection, fitness, and self-expression.

Workshops will be geared towards absolute beginner to intermediate hoopers, suitable for anybody who has never picked up a hoop but has interest in checking it out. Wear comfortable clothing fit for physical activity. Bring your own hoops or use one of the ones provided. Good for all adult ages, genders, and body types!
